Settings — Label Printing
These settings control the size and content of labels printed from Purchase Orders.
Label Size
Set the physical dimensions of your labels. Skumo includes common preset sizes:
| Preset | Dimensions | Common use |
|---|---|---|
| Standard address | 89 × 36 mm | General purpose product labels |
| Small square | 62 × 29 mm | Smaller items, jewellery |
| Large | 102 × 57 mm | Larger items, outer packaging |
| Mini | 50 × 25 mm | Very small items |
If none of these match your labels, enter a custom size by typing the width and height in millimetres.
A scaled preview updates as you change the dimensions, showing you how the label will look with your current settings.
Label Content
Show SKU
Toggle this on to include the product's SKU on printed labels. Useful if your staff use SKUs for internal reference or if your scanner system relies on them.
Include price by default
Toggle this on to include the retail price on labels by default. This can also be toggled individually at the point of printing — this setting just controls whether the toggle starts on or off.
Barcode Type
Choose which barcode format Skumo generates on labels:
| Type | When to use |
|---|---|
| Auto-detect (recommended) | Skumo reads the barcode on each product and uses the correct format automatically. This handles mixed barcode types across your catalogue without any manual configuration. |
| EAN-13 | Forces all labels to use 13-digit European barcode format, regardless of what's on the product. Use only if your printer or scanner requires a specific format. |
| UPC-A | Forces 12-digit US barcode format. |
| Code 128 | Alphanumeric format, often used for internal SKU-based barcodes. |
| Code 39 | Older alphanumeric format with broad scanner compatibility. |
Auto-detect is the right choice for most stores. Only change this if you have a specific requirement from your label printer or scanning equipment.
Applying Changes
Changes to label settings take effect immediately for all future print runs. They don't affect any labels that have already been printed.
